Comfort Reads
These last few weeks have been stressful for me. I'm trying to move and am starting a new chapter in my life and at times like this I tend to gravitate toward those books that I've read over and over. They are like visiting old friends, I call them comfort reads. Books that bring you comfort, or take you to a place thats somewhere far from stress. Personally I love anything from J.R.R. Tolkein, and being my favorites. And sometimes its nice to read about someone with actually alot more troubles than you have like in or . Whether its fun or serious, fantasy or horror, we all have books or something that brings us comfort in those times of stress. Do you have comfort reads?

Moving is very stressful- I can see why you would need some comfort reads to get you through! I love the Harry Potter series. When I am stressed I either reread some of the books- or I listen to Jim Dale tell me the stories on audio (he is amazing). Best of luck with your move!

I agree, I love the Harry Potter series. I've never listened to it tho. Never really got into audio books. Thanks for following, I shall return the favor
DeleteActually, I'm already following. Didn't realize it til I saw your page lol
DeleteI also have my comfort books. Harry potter is the first on my list. I read them to remind me that help and companionship will be there always, if we seek out to them, that there is good in every one....
ReplyDeleteSometimes i go and read Enid blyton just to get away from everything and hide in my childhood
I agree, I love Harry Potter. Its always fun to visit his magical world. I think The Order of the Pheonix was my favorite because we see more of this world when Harry is staying with Sirius.
DeleteThe Lord of the Rings is a main one for me too, along with Harry Potter, The Inheritance Cycle and The Archives of Anthropos. New Follower!

Hi Sarah, Thanks for following. I'm not familiar with The Inheritance Cycle or the Archives of Anthropos, I'll have to look into those.
