Up for grabs this time in the September is for Sequels Giveaway Hop is a copy of Mockingjay. This giveaway is open internationally and as always its not a requirement that you follow my blog but it is always appreciated.
Don't know that I've read many sequels. I've read 2nd &/or later books in a 'series', but those were all stand alone, usually cozy mystery types. I think of sequels as perhaps carrying on the story --not from cliffhangers perhaps, but at least further adventures in the characters' lives. I am looking forward to reading the sequels to Margaret Taylor's A FIRST LOVE NEVER DIES, Kate Lloyd's LEAVING LANCASTER, and (some day) Dana Marton's sequel to THE THIRD SCROLL.
I like Sherilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters, Lora Leigh's Breed Series and love Christine Feehan's Dark Series. I eagerly anticipate each one of them that comes out and they always live up to their advertising...
I think when it is necessary to write another book to keep the story going i enjoy them more than say another story with the same characters and calling it a sequel. which might be why i enjoyed david eddings series so much, the belgarian especially, have read it many times
Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter, The League; Christine Feehan's Carpathian, Lynsay Sands' Argneaux Vampires, Kerrelyn Sparks' Love at Stake, Lora Leigh's Breeds, & Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake & Meredith Gentry Thanks for sharing the hop and the giveaway. evamillien at gmail dot com
The Wolves of Mercy Falls series, Mercedes Thompson series, The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, The Hunger Games and I'm sure I'm missing a bunch! There are so many good series out there! Thank you for this amazing giveaway and the chance to win! melissargolden@yahoo.com
The Maze Runner series 2nd and 3rd books are better than the first. The Morganville Vampires and they Mythos Academy books are all as good as the first.
I thought "Days of Blood and Starlight" was even bether then "Daughter of Smoke & Bone" (by Laini Taylor) Also The Infernal Devices (Cassandra Clare) :)
