Established in 1919, Children’s Book Week is the longest-running literacy initiative in the country. Each year, books for young people and the joy of reading are feted for a full week with author and illustrator appearances, storytelling, parties, and other book-related events at schools, libraries, bookstores, museums, and homes from coast to coast!

    My answer to that question seems to change every time someone asks, but I'm keeping it consistent for this giveaway hop. LOL! I loved From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg. =)

  13. I'll never forget the first time I was read a Dr. Suess book! It was back in the early 195's and I was in Grade School when the librarian read my class When Horton Hatches the Egg! Most people are more familiar with When Horton Hears a Who but that wouldn't be printed until several years later.

    I can remember no one in the class whispered a word but instead we were all spellbound. That one book changed my life and I've loved reading ever since.
