The Hidden Village

The Hidden VillageThe Hidden Village by Greg Krehbiel

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was certainly an imaginative read. It started out with an ordinary concept of a father searching for his missing son and turned it into something much more complex. Interwoven with the world we live in is another world made up of Clans and Gamers who live by rules that only they know.

Geoff Franklin gets the call that all parents dread, his son's car has been found and no one has seen him in weeks. So he sets out to solve the mystery of his disappearance. In the process he gets more than he bargains for. He discovers that there are groups of people that live their lives in perpetual roll playing. But there is so much more to this story. Full of mystery and intrigue and cult like societies, this book keeps you interested from the start. And its very evident that this story hasn't ended here. And I am very much looking forward to seeing which direction this turns.

Overall, I loved it. I thought it was very imaginative and original. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a little mystery to go along with there sci/fi roll playing.
